Last night was...Wow. Still speechless. You all came out! Thank you so, so, so much. The capacity of the venue is 200 and every ticket was sold in advance! Seriously. Thank you!
It must be said: we couldn't be happier for The Danbees. While we were happy to mark our return to playing live in style, the night was really about them as they released their sophomore LP, Fishnets Anonymous! In addition to absolutely killing it, they brought a loud crowd along with their good friends: Ithaca, NY's The Blind Spots. It was great hanging with both bands before, during, and after the show as well as all the awesome folks who made their way from near and far.
From our end, we got to see some old friends, make some new ones, Cris got to play a show with his brother's band in a strange sort of family reunion, and we played most of Carousel Season along with some old favorites! It's strange to think that this was the first show we played with Mikey, Gerard, John, and Cris as our lineup. Even though we have been at this for a little while now as a foursome, it sort of seems like we've always known them!
For those of you interested, here's the set list:
1. Island Full of Christians
2. Parkway South
4. Waiting for the Axe
5. City by the Sea
6. Carousel Season
7. None of the Other Ones Will Do
We'll have plenty of pictures, video, and audio up soon. In the meantime, if you have some shots or sounds, shoot them over to firstname.lastname@example.org, tag us on the relevant social media platform, or mention them in the comments.
